Our club held their third Annual Members Show in conjunction with the Rare Variety & Colour B.S. on 19th May in Loddington and the show was judged by Keith Leedham. There was a much better entry from the previous two years with five exhibitors benching 20 crests.

The tufted class was won by the partnership of Paul Cheatley & Terry Alcorn with a powerful Skyblue cock which went on to win the Best Crest Any Age & Best Crest in Show award. The circular any age class was well supported and won by the same partnership with a Circular Light Green hen which was awarded the Best Opposite Sex in Show. The Best Crest Young Bird was a nice Circular Cinnamon Grey Green hen benched in good condition with good strong crest by Mick Anzara and was awarded the John Hunter trophy. The Best Crest Barhead in Show went to Dave & Linda Rafis with their Circular Dominant Pied Grey Green cock.

The society’s AGM will be held on Sunday 30th June at Bugbrooke in conjunction with the Specialist & Rare Variety show.
