Would it be possible to post the five PowerPoint presentations on the BS web site?

This would help the exhibitors understand some of the new judges guidelines.

    Many thanks,

  2. Dear Gerald,

Thank you very much for sharing a wonderful report.

I noted that the Anthracite budgerigar variety is not yet recognized by the BS UK – although the WBO has recognized the blue series and now colour standards are available.

I am very happy because I have a well established Anthracite (Gerd’s blood-line) and I imported this bird 1st time in the year 2009.

Janice’s report is covering all aspects and the major issues of today including debate on clearwing, greywing, dilutes, specific varieties, rares, guidelines on major faults etc.

I am also a member of http://www.exhibitionbudgerigarforum.co.uk and I enjoyed the few slides and photography.

    Kindest Regards

I would like to support Barrie Shutt’s suggestion, to post the presentation pictures regarding flecking, shadow markings and marks over the eye, on the Budgerigar Society website.

This presentation should then give many judges and the Budgerigar Society exhibitors the information they require and prevent confusion on this issue; and on the showbench.

Therefore, it is crucial to know what the definition of shadow and eye markings is.

The 2011 show season is nearly upon us; and we still do not know!

Budgerigar forums are private sites and carry no authority – for any authority to be established on any issue, it must be published on the Budgerigar Society’s official website; nothing else transmits belief.
